Technology Revealed has evolved over the last 25 years into a predominately proactive Apple certified support company. What this means is that we are very interested to work with customers who see value in being proactive, specifically doing the service and scheduled support work needed to properly run an Apple based computer network and not only fix things when they break. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Mac desktop support
- Proper onsite and offsite backup
- 7/24/365 monitoring of all Mac workstations and servers
- Daily & weekly Apple updates
- Upgrades to the MacOS
- Upgrades to all other third-party applications (Microsoft, Adobe, FileMaker, etc.)
- Virus and malware monitoring and removal
- Proper functioning and secure email and network systems, etc.
What is Scheduled Support?
The perfect client for this option is any company who doesn’t have a full-time IT person or that has an IT person, but they are not Mac experts. Additionally, we find many companies have their “go to” internal person who has at least 2 other responsibilities and does some of the IT support when they can. It has been our experience that its best for the company employees to focus on their job that they were hired for vs. being the rogue IT person at will. This is where we come in as Apple support professionals.
The Scheduled Support offering is our traditional option of a minimum of 4 hours per month in which we perform desktop and server support. During our scheduled proactive visits we will continually work on and interact with the company’s employees to solve any and all problems that might have come up from our last visit. Scheduled support requires a minimum commitment of 4 hours of our billable time either onsite or remote on any given day per month. This is a 12 month commitment. Apple Desktop support
Being Apple certified in this vertical gives us a unique advantage over others (mostly PC companies) that do this type of support. It proves to you, the customer, that we have studied and passed core technical elements/concepts designed by Apple. This is a signature offering including solving specific problems users are having in programs such as Office 365, Adobe Creative Suite, fonts, Outlook or AppleMail all as examples. We want to be in a situation where we get our customers out of the “I’ll just live with it” scenario and be able to get in front of their problems and issues each week or bi-monthly. The more streamlined and less stressful computing environment we can create, the more work will get done and the happier you and your employees will be.
Mac Server/Data Storage
Now that Apple has moved away from their traditional server software for warehousing and managing your data there are many other solutions out there in the market place such as NAS (we focus on a solution by Synology using SMB 3), Google Drive, Box, Drop Box, etc. There are also cloud based solutions as well and they both have their place and good and bad attributes. Onsite storage is more secure and is not dependent on internet access (if the internet is down, you lose your storage accessibility), cloud based storage is a bit safer from a data standpoint (it’s stored at another location), can be accessed from anywhere in the World fairly easily but has access issues as stated previously if your internet connection gross down for any considerable length of time.
7/24/365 Alert Monitoring
This is part of our Apple managed services program, but we require each scheduled support customer to subscribe to this service as it is critical in the ongoing, proactive support of your network. We install a software agent that monitors all your hardware for critical points and potential failures before they become catastrophic. We can then fix things before it is too late, run virus and malware detection software to make sure there aren’t any and if we find one it is irradiated and finally, we run all Apple and third-party updates and upgrades after they have passed a vetting process of compatibility.
Backup – both onsite and offsite backups are important and both needed. We have solutions for both types of backup that are reasonable, affordable and safeguard your data for continued years in business. There are separate solutions for desktop backup and for server/NAS backup. It still amazes us to this day that this is one of the most overlooked aspects of most users computing environments. We feel it is mission critical and nothing you can leave to chance or place any odds on. It’s not a question of if you will lose data, it just a matter of when. With a properly thought out and well-executed backup plan and strategy you will have no worries.
We support most widely used email systems such as exchange and many other third party options available in todays market place. As with many options there are good and bad features of hosting and managing your own email server. We recommend 3rd party hosting and TR management of your email system.

Being certified in the vertical also gives us the ability to use those concepts and knowledge base we learned couple with our years of hands on proven wireless networks allowing us to design, configure, document and test highly complex wireless systems for you or your company.
