Problem with 16-inch MacBook Pros
Event Description:
Users of 16-inch MacBook Pros are reporting restarts due to a kernel panic. Research shows that the issue is power related.
Details You Need To Know:
There is no official patch or update for the problem from Apple, but they are aware of what’s happening and are working on a resolution.
Recommended Actions:
There has been some success in the field that we recommend as a *temporary* fix until Apple releases an update.
In System Preferences:
- Click on Energy Saver
- Disable/uncheck:
- Automatic Graphic Switching
- Enable power nap while on power adapter
- Enable power nap while on battery
Once all these options are disabled/unchecked, the Mac shouldn’t restart due to a kernel panic.
