Do I have to bring in my Macintosh laptop or desktop to an Apple Store for warranty repairs?

Absolutely not. The local Apple Stores are a great option if you live close by each respective store, but we can do the same repair at our Milford, CT location and generally turn it around quicker. We have been doing Macintosh-only repairs for 20 years. We also have convenient parking which means you are about 30 feet from parking your car to dropping it off in our office.

Are you a 100% Macintosh-only support company?

Yes. We do not employ PC engineers or techs to work on your Mac. We do perform Mac to PC integration but that is the extent of our PC support. We do partner with PC support companies throughout the state so if you need some help, please let us know. Our choice to work solely on Macs is to stay focussed and dedicated to provide the best possible knowledge-base for our customers.

Do you use Apple direct parts or third party?

The only parts we use that are not Apple branded are RAM and hard drives. All other parts are direct from Apple and come with Apple's standard 90 day warranty.

Do you do onsite support for Macintosh software?

Yes. This is our core service and how we started Technology Revealed almost 20 years ago. We specialize in desktop, server, backup, email, phone and calendar syncing, just to name a few services.

Why should I bring my computer into your shop vs. bringing it to the Apple Store for repair?

Each one of our technicians has over 10 years experience fixing Macs, we can turn the repairs around quicker and we have little to no employee turnover.

We called around and we can get onsite support at a cheaper rate then what you charge, why should we do business with you?

Our rates are very competitive for the quality of work we do. We are a company of 5 full-time engineers, not a one person shop. This means we can get to you quicker and solve your problem so you can get back to work. Often one person shops charge a lower rate to get you to do business with them which sounds like a good deal at first. Little do you know they are not as qualified as us and a job that would take us one hour takes them 2 and it actually costs you more.

Do you provide remote support?

Yes we do. We use LogMeIn and VPN. We also have a program called Private Eyes which is a proactive approach to monitoring your server and backup system.

What are your hours?

Our office is open from 8:30 to 5:00 if you need to schedule an onsite appointment. We are available after and before those hours by special appointment. Our walk in hours for computer drop off are 9:30 to 5:30.

If I am an educational customer do I have to mail my laptops back to Apple?

No. We have a program called Easy Mac Back which specifically caters to the education market. It is an online system driven by FileMaker which allows you to log in computers that need to be repaired, and then we come and pick them up, diagnose and repair them and drop them off when we are done. No phone calls, lengthy diagnosis over the phone, boxing up and waiting a week plus for a repair to be returned.

Do you offer onsite support for home users just as you do businesses and schools?

Yes, we offer the same onsite services for home users. Our home users may not require server support, but we are available for new system installation, wireless set up, backup strategies, training, data transfer and much more.
